Recently, HSBC Bank (Vietnam) Ltd. (“HSBC”) has been made aware of a number of cases in which fraudsters impersonating HSBC staffs to contact customers and steal their personal information. In order to proactively prevent frauds, you are highly recommended to:


	Be cautious of tricks to obtain your personal information. Do not provide any information such as Personal Identification Number (PIN), Internet Banking Password, Phone Banking PIN, Credit Card numbers, Account Information, etc. when being requested. Especially, you should never lend any third party your Cards (Debit Card and Credit Card).

	Be cautious of tricks requiring you to transfer money or recharge the assigned phone number so as to participate in HSBC’s promotion.

In addition, there have been many spam messages about withdrawing cash from HSBC Credit Cards at certain points of sales to enjoy cash-back offer from HSBC. Below is one of the examples. HSBC would like to remind you that we will only honour legitimate purchase transactions as stipulated in the relevant Terms and Conditions. Cash withdrawal at the points of sales is not eligible for our cashback offer. HSBC also would like to advise you not to perform such transactions or respond to such messages since it will be potentially expose you to the risk of personal information breach.

If there is any doubt regarding the fraudulent behaviors, you should immediately report it to the authorities or HSBC Customer Service Hotline (84 8) 37 247 247 for prompt assistance. You also should notify your family and friends about this fraud alert to deter these behaviors.
