The promotional period is from 1 December 2012 to 6 January 2013, both dates inclusive (“Promotional Period”). 2. This promotion applies to customers holding any Hong Kong Dollar personal primary, combined additional, separate additional credit cards of HSBC Premier MasterCard® Credit Card, HSBC Advance Visa Platinum, HSBC Visa Platinum Card, HSBC green Credit Card, HSBC Visa Gold Credit Card, HSBC MasterCard Gold Credit Card, HSBC Classic Visa Credit Card and HSBC MasterCard Credit Card issued by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (the “Bank”) in Hong Kong (each an “Eligible Credit Card”). Customers holding any Eligible Credit Card shall be referred to in these terms and conditions as the “Cardholders”. 3. Cardholders who have registered via Hotline Registration and Online Registration will be entitled to receive an extra $1 RewardCash for every HK$20 equivalent spent overseas with an Eligible Credit Card during the Promotional Period (aggregately as “Extra RewardCash”). The Extra RewardCash will be awarded in addition to the basic RewardCash under the basic RewardCash Programme that is offered by the Bank. The Extra RewardCash earned from this promotion will be credited to Cardholders’ credit card separately. Cardholders can only participate in this promotion after the completion of the registration process as described in clause 6 below. 4. Only transactions with original sales slips made overseas and posted on the Bank’s system during the Promotional Period with an Eligible Credit Card are eligible for this promotion (‘Eligible Transactions’). Overseas transactions are transactions in any currency but excluding Hong Kong Dollars (based on the currency posted in the credit card statement). Transactions including online purchases, mail, fax and telephone orders, instalment plans and casino transactions, whether performed in local or foreign currency, will not be eligible for this promotion. 5. HSBC Premier MasterCard® Credit Card, HSBC Advance Visa Platinum, HSBC Visa Platinum Card and HSBC green Credit Card Cardholders will be entitled to a maximum of $300 RewardCash for purchases made overseas with their Eligible Credit Card during the Promotional Period. All other Cardholders is entitled to receive a maximum of $200 RewardCash for purchases made overseas with their Eligible Credit Card during the Promotional Period. The calculation of RewardCash is determined by the transaction date of the Eligible Transaction. All Eligible Transactions effected using the Cardholder’s various Eligible Credit Cards will be combined for the purpose of calculating the Extra RewardCash for this promotion. For the avoidance of doubt, Eligible Transactions effected using a Cardholder’s primary card account cannot be combined with that of an additional card under the same credit card account. 6. To be eligible for the Extra RewardCash, Cardholders are required to register via the Bank’s 24-hour registration hotline on (852) 8226 0838 (“Hotline Registration”) or via the Bank’s public website at www.hsbc.com.hk/creditcard (“Online Registration”) during the Promotional Period. Registration can be made before or after the Eligible Transaction. No Extra RewardCash will be awarded to Cardholders who fail to successfully register during the Promotional Period. Each Cardholder only needs to register his/her Eligible Credit Card once during the Promotional Period. 7. If a Cardholder performs more than one registration with different Eligible Credit Cards, the RewardCash will be credited to the first registered Eligible Credit Card under the registration. 8. The Extra RewardCash cannot be converted into cash and are not transferable. The Extra RewardCash will be rounded up to the nearest $1 RewardCash. 9. Cardholders must keep all original sales slips in respect of the Eligible Transactions. In case of any dispute, the Bank reserves the right at any time during or after the promotion to request a Cardholder to submit the relevant original sales slips and/or such further documents or evidence for inspection. All sales slips submitted to the Bank will be retained and not returned. 10. The Bank will determine the eligibility of Cardholders and the applicable Extra RewardCash amount based on the Cardholders’ transaction records held with the Bank. The completion of Registration is not a confirmation of the eligibility of the card, transactions or the Cardholder for the Extra RewardCash. 11. If the transactions are confirmed after verification by the Bank as qualified for the Extra RewardCash, the applicable Extra RewardCash will be automatically credited on or before 31 March 2013 to the Cardholder’s first registered credit card account. 12. Where any Extra RewardCash has been credited to a credit card account and there is a subsequent reversal of any transaction(s) used to determine the Extra RewardCash, the relevant Cardholder is liable for the whole amount of the relevant Extra RewardCash and the Bank will deduct the said amount directly from the credit card account without prior notice to the Cardholder. 13. Only Cardholders whose credit card accounts are valid and in good standing during the entire Promotional Period and rewards fulfillment period will be eligible for the Extra RewardCash. 14. Unposted/ cancelled/ refunded transactions will not be eligible for this promotion. 15. Fraud and abuse will result in forfeiture of a Cardholder’s eligibility to participate in this promotion as well as cancellation of a Cardholder’s credit card(s). The Bank further reserves the right to deduct any Extra RewardCash or basic RewardCash awarded to the Cardholder under this promotion directly from the credit card account without prior notice. 16. The Bank reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and to terminate this promotional offer at any time without prior notice. These terms and conditions are subject to prevailing regulatory requirement. The terms and conditions of the Cardholder’s credit card agreement with the Bank will continue to apply. 17. In case of disputes arising out of this promotion, the decision of the Bank shall be final and conclusive. 18. These terms and conditions shall be construed and governed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. 19. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the English version and the Chinese version of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
