Terms and Conditions:
1. The promotional period is from 7 May 2012 to 17 June 2012, both dates inclusive (“Promotional Period”). All Eligible Transactions (based on the transaction dates) as described in Clause 5 must be conducted during the Promotional Period.
2. This promotion applies to customers holding any Hong Kong Dollar (HK$) personal primary, combined additional, separate additional credit cards (including co-branded cards and Private Label Cards) or UnionPay Dual Currency credit cards (applicable to Hong Kong Dollar sub-account only) issued by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (the “Bank”) in Hong Kong (each an “Eligible Credit Card”). Business cards, corporate cards, purchasing cards, Renminbi cards, US dollar cards and Super Ease account cards do not qualify for participation in this promotion. Customers holding any Eligible Credit Card shall be referred to as the “Cardholder(s)” below.
3. Cardholders who have conducted Eligible Transactions as described in Clause 5 of minimum HK$500 (“Spending Requirement”) with an Eligible Credit Card during the Promotional Period will be entitled to redeem the Wellcome Supermarket cash voucher, the city’super cash voucher and/or the Häagen-DazsTM cash voucher (“Designated Cash Vouchers”) in multiples of HK$100 at a 10% discount rate (“Discounted Price”). Cardholders must redeem the Designated Cash Vouchers with $10 RewardCash per Redemption Order as described in Clause 6 and settle the balance by way of cash. The cash portion must be settled by the first Eligible Credit Card registered for the Redemption Order.
4. Calculation of the Spending Requirement is determined by the transaction dates of all Eligible Transactions. Transactions effected using all Eligible Credit Cards held by a Cardholder will be considered together for the purpose of calculating the amount of total Spending Requirement; however, the transaction amount to settle the balance for cash voucher redemption will be excluded. For the avoidance of doubt, transactions effected via primary and additional cards under the same credit card account will not be combined.
5. Only local and overseas transactions posted on the Bank’s system during the Promotional Period with an Eligible Credit Card and in respect of which original sales slips can be produced will be eligible for this promotion (“Eligible Transactions”). Eligible Transactions do not include cash advances, annual fee, finance charges and casino transactions. Other transactions, including but not limited to online purchases, mail orders, fax orders, telephone orders, bill payments, Octopus value-added, or unposted/ cancelled/ or refunded transactions will be excluded and ineligible for this promotion.
6. Cardholders must redeem the Designated Cash Vouchers via the Bank’s 24-hour redemption hotline on (852) 8226 2618 during the Promotional Period (“Redemption Order(s)”), where Cardholders can select the type(s) and amount of cash voucher(s) for each redemption upon reaching the Spending Requirement. Redemption Orders can be placed before or after conducting the Eligible Transactions. Cardholders who fail to successfully place the Redemption Orders via the hotline during the Promotional Period, and/or fail to meet the Spending Requirement, will not be eligible for the promotion and any redemption orders placed will then be cancelled automatically.
7. If a Cardholder places more than one Redemption Order with the same or different Eligible Credit Card(s), the redemption orders will be combined on customer level to the first Eligible Credit Card account registered for redemption via hotline on the Bank’s record.
8. Cardholders must keep all original sales slips in respect of the Eligible Transactions. In case of any dispute, the Bank reserves the right at any time during or after this promotion to request a Cardholder to submit the relevant original sales slips and/or such further documents or evidence as may be required for inspection. All sales slips submitted will be retained by the Bank and not returned.

9. Once a Redemption Order has been confirmed and accepted by the Bank, it cannot be changed, or cancelled. The Bank will determine the eligibility of Cardholders and the Redemption Order based on the Cardholders’ transaction records held with the Bank. Completion of Redemption Order is not a confirmation of the eligibility of the card, transactions, or the Cardholder to enjoy the Discounted Price on the Designated Cash Vouchers. Where any Redemption Order has been placed by a Cardholder to redeem the Designated Cash Vouchers at Discounted Price and the Cardholder’s Eligible Transactions cannot meet the Spending Requirement, the Bank reserves the right to charge the amount of the Designated Cash Vouchers at original price directly to the relevant Cardholder’s credit card account without prior notice to the Cardholder.
10. Upon verification and confirmation by the Bank that the Eligible Transactions qualify and meet the Spending Requirement, a redemption letter will be mailed by ordinary mail to the Eligible Cardholders’ local correspondence address maintained in the Bank’s record at the time of mailing by August 2012. Cardholders must bring the redemption letter and the Eligible Credit Card printed on the redemption letter to collect the Designated Cash Vouchers at the Bank’s designated redemption centre. Details of collection, including redemption centre address and deadline will be available on the redemption letter. Cardholders must use the Eligible Credit Card to settle the corresponding RewardCash and cash amount incurred upon collection of the Designated Cash Vouchers. Cash Vouchers and redemption letters are not replaceable in the event of any loss or damage, including without limitation in any lost in transit after being mailed out by the Bank. The promotional offer is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, other products, promotional offers or discounts.
11. Only Cardholders whose Eligible Credit Card accounts are valid and in good standing during the Promotional Period and fulfilment period will be eligible for this promotion.
12. Fraud and abuse will result in forfeiture of a Cardholder’s eligibility to participate in this promotion as well as cancellation of a Cardholder’s credit card(s).
13. The Bank accepts no liability for the quality of goods and services provided by the provider of the Designated Cash Vouchers and the use of the Designated Cash Vouchers are subject to the terms and conditions applicable thereto.
14. The terms and conditions of the Cardholder’s credit card agreement with the Bank and that of the RewardCash Programme will continue to apply. The Bank reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and to terminate this promotional offer at any time without prior notice to the Cardholders. The Bank accepts no liability for any such change.
15. These terms and conditions are subject to prevailing regulatory requirement.
16. In case of disputes arising out of this promotional offer, the decision of the Bank shall be final and conclusive.
17. These terms and conditions shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
18. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the English version and the Chinese version of the promotion materials and these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
