Terms and conditions:
1. The promotional period is from 14 October 2011 to 30 October 2011, both dates inclusive (“Promotional Period”). All Eligible Transactions (based on the transaction dates) as described in clause 3 below must be conducted during the Promotional Period.
2. This promotion applies to customers holding any Hong Kong Dollar personal primary, combined additional or separate additional credit cards (including co-branded cards), issued by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (“the Bank”) in Hong Kong (“Eligible Credit Cards”). Corporate, business, purchasing, US dollar, Renminbi and private label cards shall be excluded for the purposes of this promotion. Customers holding any Eligible Credit Cards shall be referred to as the “Cardholders” in the terms and conditions below.
3. Cardholders will be entitled to receive 15 times RewardCash for single Net Spending (as defined in clause 4 below) of amounts of HK$400 or more when using an Eligible Credit Card at Mannings in Hong Kong (“Designated Merchant”) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the Promotional Period. (For the avoidance of doubt, the relevant Fridays are 14, 21 and 28 of October 2011; the relevant Saturdays are 15, 22 and 29 of October 2011; and the relevant Sundays are 16, 23 and 30 of October 2011). Only posted transactions made at the Designated Merchant with physical sales slips during the Promotional Period with an Eligible Credit Card are eligible for this promotion (“Eligible Transactions”).
4. “Net spending” means the final amount charged to the Eligible Credit Card after all applicable discounts, reductions and use of vouchers.
5. 15 times RewardCash is inclusive of the first time basic RewardCash for card spending under the RewardCash Programme that is offered by the Bank. The extra RewardCash (i.e. the RewardCash earned from this promotion, less the first time basic RewardCash under the RewardCash Programme) (“Extra RewardCash”) will be credited to Cardholders’ credit card separately. This promotional offer is not transferable and cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional offers (except “Red Hot Rewards of Your Choice” promotion). Cardholders who have received direct mailers on other offers in Mannings will not be eligible to this promotion.
6. Transactions including online purchases, mail orders, fax orders, telephone orders, instalment plans, Octopus value-added, purchase of infant milk powder (stage 1), transactions made at any outlets outside the Designated Merchant, unposted, cancelled or refunded transactions are ineligible for this promotion.
7. During the entire Promotional Period, each Cardholder is entitled to receive a maximum of $200 Extra RewardCash at the Designated Merchant. Calculation of RewardCash is determined by the transaction date of the Eligible Transactions. All Eligible Transactions effected under a Cardholder’s various Eligible Credit Cards will be combined for the purpose of calculating the “Extra RewardCash” under the promotion. For the avoidance of doubt, Eligible Transactions effected via primary and additional Eligible Credit Cards under the same credit card account will not be combined.
8. The RewardCash cannot be converted into cash and is not transferable. The Extra RewardCash will be rounded up to the nearest $1 RewardCash.
9. To be eligible for the Extra RewardCash, Cardholders are required to register via the 24-hour registration hotline on (852) 8228 0866 during the Promotional Period (“Hotline Registration”). Hotline Registration can be made before or after Eligible Transaction. No Extra RewardCash will be awarded to Cardholders who fail to successfully register via the hotline during the Promotional Period. Each Cardholder only needs to perform Hotline Registration with his/her Eligible Credit Card once during the Promotional Period.
10. If a Cardholder performs more than one registration with different Eligible Credit Cards, the RewardCash will be credited to the first registered Eligible Credit Card under the registration.
11. The Bank will determine each Cardholder’s eligibility and the applicable Extra RewardCash based on the information recorded and the Cardholder’s transaction records held with the Bank.
12. Cardholders must keep all original sales slips in respect of the Eligible Transactions. In case of any dispute, the Bank reserves the right at any time during or after the promotion to request a Cardholder to submit the relevant original sales slips and/or such further documents or evidence for inspection. All sales slips submitted to the Bank will not be returned.
13. If Eligible Transactions are confirmed after verification by the Bank as having qualified for the Extra RewardCash, the Extra RewardCash for such Eligible Transactions will be automatically credited to the Eligible Cardholder’s credit card account in January 2012.
14. Only Cardholders whose credit card accounts are valid and in good standing during the entire Promotional Period and rewards fulfilment period will be eligible for the Extra RewardCash.
15. Where any Extra RewardCash has been credited to a credit card account and there is a subsequent reversal of any transaction(s) upon which the Extra RewardCash has been awarded, the relevant Cardholder is required to reimburse the Bank for the whole amount of the requisite Extra RewardCash. The Bank will charge the amount of the requisite Extra RewardCash directly to the credit card account without prior notice to the Cardholder.
16. Fraud and abuse will result in forfeiture of a Cardholder’s eligibility to participate in this promotion as well as cancellation of a Cardholder’s credit card(s). The Bank further reserves the right to charge any amount awarded under this promotion directly from the credit card account without prior notice.
17. The Bank accepts no liability for the quality of goods and services provided by the Designated Merchant.
18. The promotion is governed by the terms and conditions of the Bank and the Designated Merchant. The Promotional Period and these terms and conditions of the promotion are subject to change without prior notice. The Bank accepts no liability in respect of any such change and will not notify Cardholders separately of any such change.
19. Unless otherwise specified, the terms and conditions of the RewardCash Programme also apply.
20. In case of disputes arising out of this promotion, by decision the Bank and the Designated Merchant shall be final and conclusive.
21.In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the English version and the Chinese version of the promotion materials and these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
