Terms and Conditions
1. This offer is brought to you by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, India (hereinafter referred to as ‘HSBC’) and any participation in the said offer is voluntary. This referral offer is applicable to Resident Indian customers holding HSBC Credit Card/Debit Card (hereinafter referred to as ‘Referrer’) and the referrals given by the Referrers are hereinafter referred to as ‘Referee(s)’. Referrer working in HSBC Premier sales and service roles, Retail Banking and Wealth Management Business [Premier Relationship Manager (PRM), Premier Plus (PPRM), Premier Elite (PERM), Premier Service (PSM), Manager Premier Relationship Manager (MPRM), NR Centre Manager (NRCM), Deputy Branch Manager (DBM), Branch Manager (BM), Premier Client Manager (PCM), Sales Manager (SM-PCM) ] are not eligible to participate in this offer.
2. The offer is valid on referrals received between the period 1 March 2014 and 31 August 2014 (hereinafter referred to as 'Offer Period') and issuance of HSBC Premier MasterCard® Credit Card (hereinafter referred to as 'Credit Card') to the Referee on or before 31 October 2014.
3. To participate in the offer, the Referrer will be required to provide details of Referees in the prescribed referral form vide which the Referrer obtains consent from the Referee to be contacted by HSBC. The Referee has to be Resident Indian. An existing resident HSBC Premier customer who does not hold the Credit Card will also qualify as an eligible Referee. In case the contact number for the Referee, as provided by the Referrer in the referral form, is registered in the National Do Not Call (NDNC) registry, HSBC will not call such a Referee.
4. HSBC Bank/Group employees and members or other accountholders under the employee's HSBC banking relationship cannot be referred under the program.
5. Only if the Referees apply for and are issued the Credit Card latest by 31 October 2014 (hereinafter referred to as ‘Successful Referral’), 10,000 reward points or Extra points for each Successful Referral will be credited to the Referrer’s HSBC Credit Card or Debit Card respectively within 60 days from the month of issuance of the HSBC Premier MasterCard® Credit Card to the Referee. The reward points would reflect in the subsequent month’s statement for their Credit Card. To check the Extra points, you can login to www.extrapoints.co.in. However, if the Referee directly approaches HSBC without any reference to the referral made by the Referrer, HSBC will not be liable to credit the aforesaid reward points or Extra points for such referrals.
6. The redemption options mentioned above are subject to change.
7. Please visit www.hsbc.co.in for the complete range of the latest redemption options available on credit card and terms and conditions associated with redemption of the reward points.
8. The reward points or Extra points earned under the offer mentioned above will be valid for 3 years from the date of issuance of the Credit Card or Debit Card, post which the same shall lapse. To redeem Extra points, one needs to login to www.extrapoints.co.in and post successful logging and registration will be able to avail of redemption.
9. Issuance of the Credit Card is subject to satisfactory external credit checks and at the sole discretion of HSBC.
10. HSBC will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that may be suffered, or for any personal injury that may be suffered by the Referrer or the Referee, as a result of participating in the offer.
11. HSBC is not making any offer on the redemption products or services and does not make any warranties or representation of the quality, merchantability, suitability or availability of such redemption products or services.
12. HSBC reserves the right to add, alter, modify, change or vary all or any of these terms and conditions or to replace, wholly or in part, this offer by another offer, whether similar to this offer or not, or to withdraw it altogether at any point in time with appropriate notice.
13. The offer is subject to force majeure events.
14. Tax liability, if any, will be borne by the Referrer.
15. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this offer shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai only. The existence of a dispute, if any, shall not constitute any claim against HSBC.
16. The usage of the Credit Card is governed by the applicable terms and conditions. Please visit www.hsbc.co.in for the detailed terms and conditions.
17. By availing of the offer, the Referrer accepts all the aforementioned terms and conditions including the terms and conditions pertaining to the Credit Card on www.hsbc.co.in in totality.
Calculation of Total Relationship Balance (TRB) is based on the following:
1. Average quarterly balance held in your HSBC Savings/Current Account(s).
2. Average quarterly balance held in your HSBC Fixed Deposits.
3. Investments* - Market value or net purchase value, whichever is higher as on the last day of every calendar quarter.
4. Life-to-date (total) paid-up life insurance** premium for policies in force as on the last day of every calendar quarter.
5. Market value of demat holdings in the depository account held with HSBC India as on the last day of every calendar quarter.
 
The above can also include balances maintained by your family members# in their HSBC Premier Accounts, subject to the accounts being categorised as part of a single relationship. In case, you are an HSBC Premier customer in any other country$ and meet the HSBC Premier minimum balance requirement applicable to that country, you are entitled to receive HSBC Premier services in India and the quarterly TRB applicable is waived.
