Terms and Conditions

1. This promotion is being conducted by The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, India (hereinafter referred to as the “HSBC India”) and any participation thereto is voluntary.
2. This promotion is open for the period commencing from June 05, 2010, 00:00 hours, Indian Standard Time (IST) until 23:59 hours IST on July 31, 2010 (both days inclusive) (hereinafter referred to as the "Promotion Period").
3. To participate in the offer, participants are required to successfully register for e-statements through Business Internet Banking within the offer period.
4. For each successful e-statement registration, HSBC India shall plant 10 saplings (hereinafter referred to as “gift”) on participant’s behalf. A report will be sent to each participant who has so registered for e-statements within a period of 2 months of the closing of the campaign.
5. The choice of gift will be at the sole discretion of HSBC India and is subject to change without any prior notice.
6. This offer cannot be clubbed with any other offer/scheme of HSBC India.
7. All decisions in respect of the offer, including number of trees will be at the sole discretion of HSBC India and the same will be final and binding and is non-contestable. All participants waive any and all rights of claim with regards to the offer against HSBC India.
8. HSBC India makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, merchantability, suitability or otherwise of the plants.
9. HSBC India shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage whatsoever that may be suffered, or for any personal injury that may be suffered, as a result of participating in the offer.
10. HSBC India reserves the right to withdraw and/or alter any of the terms and conditions of this offer at any time without prior notice.
11. The offer cannot be exchanged / redeemed for cash. No cash claim can be made in lieu of this offer.
12. The offer is subject to force majeure events.
13. Tax liability, if any, will be borne by the participant.
14. The Promotion shall be governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Promotion shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai only. The existence of a dispute, if any, shall not constitute a claim against HSBC India.
15. By participating in this offer, the participants shall be deemed to have accepted the Terms and Conditions of entry as specified above in total.
