NRI Fixed Deposit "Calling Card" Offer - Terms and Conditions
  1. This offer is brought to you by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, India (HSBC India) and any participation is voluntary. This offer is open only to Non-Resident Indian (NRI) customers of HSBC India (herein after referred to as the ‘ “Participant”).
  2. For Customers is United Kingdom and Hong Kong SAR this offer is open from 00:00 hours, Indian Standard Time (IST) on August 25, 2009 till 23:59 hours IST October 25, 2009 (herein after referred to as the ‘Offer period’).
    3. For Customers is United States of America this offer is open from 00:00 hours, Indian Standard Time (IST) on September 15, 2009 till 23:59 hours IST October 25, 2009 (herein after referred to as the ‘Offer period’). This offer may be extended beyond the specified duration without prior notice.
  3. To participate in the Calling Card offer, Participants are required to place at least one new fixed deposit through HSBC Internet Banking. All Participants who place such fixed deposit will be given a calling card with an approximate value of Rs. 220. The calling card will be an unique key from Tajonline.com that is redeemable for an electronic calling card on their website www.tajonline.com..,
  4. Only the customers from United Kingdom, United States of America and Hong Kong SAR are eligible for the Calling Card offer.
  5. The electronic calling card may be used by the Participant to place a call to India for a specified duration from a select list of countries. If the Participant is not a resident of any of these countries, then she / he is free to dial into any of the numbers provided and international charges may accrue to the Participant for such a call.
  6. Each Participant will be entitled to only one such unique key and therefore only one such calling card, irrespective of the actual number of fixed deposit accounts placed through Internet Banking.
  7. The unique key of the electronic calling card shall be informed to the Participant via email to the Participant’s email address on record within 30 days of creating the fixed deposit. HSBC India at its own sole discretion may also advise the Participant of the same via a secure message within Internet Banking.
  8. The unique keys will be valid for a minimum period of 3 months from the date of issue and shall not be renewed after expiry of this period.
  9. This Calling Card offer will be at the sole discretion of HSBC India and is subject to change without any prior notice.
  10. All decisions in respect of the Calling Card offer will be at the sole discretion of HSBC India and the same will be final and binding and is non-contestable. All Participants waive any and all rights of claim with regards to the Calling Card offer against HSBC India.
  11. HSBC India has no control whatsoever over the website www.tajonline.com (Website) and is not liable for the Participant’s use of it.  Please read the Website’s terms and conditions and be guided by the same. HSBC India neither endorses nor guarantees the services that are being provided by this Website nor is it affiliated in any manner with the Website and is not responsible for any content of the Website or any link contained in the said Website, or any changes or updates to such Websites.
  12. Tax liability, if any, will be borne by the Participant.
  13. HSBC India makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability or timely delivery of the calling card.
  14. HSBC India shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage whatsoever that may be suffered, or for any personal injury that may be suffered, as a result of participating in the Calling Card offer or by using the calling card.
  15. HSBC India reserves the right to withdraw and / or alter any of the terms and conditions of this Calling Card offer at any time without prior notice.
  16. The calling card is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged / redeemed for cash.
  17. This promotion will be governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this offer shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai only. The existence of a dispute, if any, shall not constitute a claim against HSBC India.
  18. By participating in this Calling Card offer, the Participants accept the Terms and Conditions of entry as specified above in totality.
