HSBC Terms and Conditions:

  • This offer is brought to you by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, India (hereinafter referred to as ‘HSBC’). This offer is applicable only to HSBC Visa Gold and HSBC Visa Platinum Credit Cardholders (hereinafter referred to as ‘Cardholders’). Any participation in the offer is voluntary
  • The offer is open from 20 February 2010 to 31 March 2010, both dates inclusive (hereinafter referred to as the (‘Offer Period’)
  • The offer is applicable only on Insurance Premium Payments made using the Cardholder’s HSBC Visa Credit Card. The eligibility of a particular transaction for the offer will be decided basis the Merchant Category Code (MCC) for the transaction and HSBC’s decision in this regard shall be final.
  • Only Insurance Premium Payment transactions of Rs.2,000 or more are eligible for this Offer.
  • The Cardholder will receive Double Reward points for all eligible transactions during the Offer Period. Depending on the Credit Card type (Gold/ Platinum) Cardholders will receive –
    • Gold Credit Cards: 2 Reward points per Rs.100
    • Platinum Credit Cards: 4 Reward points per Rs.150
  • The extra Reward points over and above the normal reward points, under this Offer will be credited to the Cardholder’s account by 30 April 2010 and will reflect in the next monthly statement.
  • Customers who are delinquent as on the date of crediting the extra Reward points will not be eligible to receive the extra Reward points.
  • Insurance premium paid using the HSBC Visa Credit Card through following channels – Insurance company website or point of sale (POS) or Interactive Voice Response (IVR) or Visa Bill Pay facility or Standing Instruction with HSBC, will be eligible for the offer
  • Life and General Insurance premium payments are both eligible for the offer.
  • EMI debits for premium paid before the offer period are not eligible for the offer.
  • Incase of a reversal of a particular transaction, that transaction will NOT be counted or such purchase will NOT be considered eligible for this Offer
  • The reward(s) for this offer cannot be exchanged for cash
  • All conditions of the HSBC Credit Cards Rewards Programme apply to this offer.
  • HSBC India will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that may be suffered, or for any personal injury that may be suffered, as a result of participating in the offer
  • HSBC reserves its absolute right to withdraw or alter any of the terms and conditions of the offer at any point in time without prior notice to the Cardholders. All decisions in respect of the offer shall be at the sole discretion of HSBC and the same shall be final, binding and non-contestable. All Cardholders waive any and all rights of claim with regard to the Offer against HSBC
  • Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this offer shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai only. The existence of a dispute, if any, shall not constitute a claim against HSBC.
  • All decisions in respect of the offer shall be at the sole discretion of HSBC and the same shall be final, binding and non-contestable. All Cardholders waive any and all rights of claim with regard to the Offer against HSBC
  • Tax liability, if any will be borne by the Cardholder
  • The Offer is subject to force majeure events
