This offer is brought to you by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, India (HSBC) and any participation is voluntary .This offer is applicable to select HSBC Classic Credit cardholders (hereinafter referred to as the "Cardholder") to whom this communication is addressed.
The existing HSBC Classic Credit Card of the Cardholder and all linked additional (add-on) cards against which the offer has been made will be cancelled within 20 days from date of opening your HSBC Gold credit card and cannot be reinstated.
The credit limit on the Gold Credit Card may be higher than the credit limit on the existing card. By accepting this offer, the Cardholder accepts the increased limit (if any), that will be assigned on the Gold Credit Card.
All additional (add-on) cards would be automatically upgraded. Should the Cardholder choose not to upgrade the additional credit cards to the Gold card, the Cardholder will have to dispose off the cards by cutting them into pieces, through the magnetic strips and inform HSBC about the cancellation. Please note that in such a scenario, the Cardholder shall not have the option to retain the existing additional credit cards.
On cancellation of the existing Card/s:
In case the existing credit card is enrolled for our Card Protection Plan (CPP) then, on issuance of the new Credit Card, you will have to register the new Gold Credit Card for CPP.
In case you have any Balance Transfer, Loan on Phone or Cash on EMI product on the existing credit card, the same will be transferred to the new Credit Card as it is. The Interest rate and tenure will remain the same.
All outstanding balances on the existing card/s, will be transferred to the new Gold card account.
Reward points and auto debit instructions on the existing card will also be transferred to the new card. The Reward Points transferred to the new card, might not reflect in your first Gold card statement.
Standing Instruction for payment of your current credit card bills by debiting an HSBC bank account will be transferred to your new card.
Standing instructions that have been set up on the existing card, towards payment to third party utility providers like Vodafone, Airtel etc, will not be transferred to the new card. Standing Instruction will have to be set up again on the new card account. The bank will not be held responsible for payment delays due to instructions not being set up on the new card account.
The new Gold card will be delivered only at the mailing address updated on our records. In case of any change in address kindly contact our call centre.
Billing date for the new card might be different from the existing card. The Cardholder will have to take necessary steps to make payment as per the new payment due date. This will be mentioned on the Gold Credit Card statement.
HSBC reserves the right to modify/alter/amend the fee structure for all customers at any point in time.
All decisions in respect of the offer shall be at the sole discretion of HSBC and the same shall be final, binding and non-contestable. All participants waive any and all rights of claim with regard to the offer against HSBC.
HSBC reserves the right to withdraw or alter any of the terms and conditions of this offer at any point of time.
This offer is subject to force majeure events.
Tax liability, if any shall be borne by the cardholder.
Any disputes arising out of this offer shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai only. The existence of any dispute shall not, by itself, constitute a claim against HSBC.
By participating in this offer, the Cardholder accepts all the Terms and Conditions as specified above in toto.
