I would also like to share an important update. PT Bank HSBC Indonesia (‘HSBC Indonesia’) has entered into a binding agreement to transfer its retail banking and wealth management operations, International Wealth and Premier Banking’ (‘IWPB’) to PT Bank OCBC NISP Indonesia (‘OCBC Indonesia’). I believe it is important to keep you informed in an open and transparent manner.
The transaction covers the assets and liabilities of HSBC Indonesia’s entire retail banking and wealth management operations, including the deposit and investment accounts, credit cards and retail loans of approximately 336,000 customers. It follows a strategic review of the retail business, which concluded that a transfer would be the best outcome for the HSBC Indonesia, our employees and customers.
What does this mean for you?
The products and services you currently have with HSBC Indonesia, such as your accounts, credit cards and retail loans will continue to be provided as normal until completion of the transfer, which we expect to be in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approval.
During this period, we will work closely with OCBC Indonesia and the regulatory authorities to enable a smooth transition. At the end of this period, your products will be transferred to OCBC Indonesia who will continue to provide banking services to you.
There is nothing further you need to do at this stage. We will be in contact again once the required regulatory approvals have been obtained.
