Pursuant to the circular from the PBoC [Carrying out Identity Verification on National Stock of Personal RMB Deposit Accounts], we are required to verify our customer identification records. Starting from May 2012, HSBC Bank (China) Company Limited will be reviewing the Identity Verification documents for all CNY account holders. We have identified a number of customers whose initial Identity Verification does not meet the current PBoC requirements contained in the circular.

Please approach your nearest HSBC branch in China with your valid identity document(s) at a convenient time before 31/12/2012. |

Please bring the following identity document(s) if applicable: |

PRC citizens or PRC military personnel: the PRC ID card or ID for military personnel. |

Foreign citizens, Hong Kong/Macau or Taiwan Residents: Passport, Pass to Mainland for Hong Kong and Macau residents, or Pass to Mainland for Taiwan residents. |

According to relevant laws and regulations, you may be required to provide further supporting documents. |
